Questions Journalists Ask
Before You Post
Does it cost anything?
No. Journalists never pay, now or later.
Who can post a request?
Staff and freelance journalists, producers, podcasters and student journalists working on editorial stories. New accounts are checked by our editors, usually within one business day, before the first request goes out.
How many pitches will I get?
You choose a pitch cap of 5, 10, 15 or 25 when you post. The request closes when it is reached, or at your deadline, whichever comes first.
Can experts see my email or phone?
No. Experts see your outlet and your request. They pitch through QuoteDesk, and you decide who to contact.
Can I post in French?
Yes. Choose Quebec or Anywhere In Canada and write the request in French. It goes to experts who work in French.
What if nobody suitable pitches?
Email hello@quotedesk.ca and we will look for the source ourselves.
